Who is Architectural Metal Panels?
Architectural Metal Panels began in New Jersey as a fabrication-first metal company. For more than ten years we formed and installed standing seam metal roofing, aluminum composite panels and custom sheet metal on homes and commercial buildings across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, most of it won by referral from one finished building to the next.
In 2026 the whole company moved to Texas. Not a branch office: the roll formers, brakes and shears, and the crews who run them, relocated to 107 Industrial Dr in Forney, on the east side of Dallas-Fort Worth. We chose North Texas because it is one of the fastest-growing metal roofing markets in the country, and for a plain reason. Hail Alley wears out shingle roofs, and owners here are ready for a roof they buy once.
The owner has spent 26+ years in metal roofing. That experience shows in details most people never see: clip spacing that lets a panel move through a 100-degree afternoon and a January freeze, flashing bent to the wall rather than caulked to it, and coping that sheds water toward the roof side of a parapet. We are a small company. The person who measures your roof is responsible for the finished job, and our address is one you can drive to.
What do we fabricate in Forney?
Roof panels, wall panels and every piece of sheet metal that finishes them. Nearly everything we install, apart from manufactured shake, shingle and tile systems, comes off our own equipment.
- Standing seam roof panels, snap-lock and mechanical seam, roll-formed from 24-gauge Galvalume with a Kynar 500 finish, with striations to control oil canning.
- Metal wall panels: the AMP Wave 16-4 and Wave 12-3 concealed-fastener profiles, the 7.2 Rib, the 2.67-inch corrugated panels and the PBR family, roll-formed to the height or length of your wall.
- Aluminum composite panels, routed, folded and returned for dry-joint or wet-seal systems on storefronts, fascias, canopies and column covers.
- Metal coping, metal flashing, box gutters, chimney caps and fascia cladding, bent on our brakes in 22- to 24-gauge steel or .040 aluminum. See all of our custom sheet metal work.
Systems we do not make, such as EDCO and Classic Metal Roofing Systems shake, shingle and tile, we install to the instructions each manufacturer publishes, and we fabricate the flashing and trim that go with them.
How do we work?
Five steps, in the same order on a porch roof and on a 20,000-square-foot wall panel job: measure, draw, fabricate, install, warranty.
- Measure. We measure the roof or walls ourselves, photograph every penetration and parapet, and check decking, slope, drainage and attic ventilation. For wall panels we take elevations and note the substrate and openings.
- Shop drawings. Standing seam and wall panel jobs get a panel layout and trim details before anything is cut, so you can see seam lines, panel widths and where each flashing lands. Commercial jobs get a submittal package for the architect.
- Fabricate. Panels, coping and flashing are formed in Forney to the drawings, in the gauge and finish on your quote. Large standing seam roofs are roll-formed on site so each panel runs eave to ridge in one piece.
- Install. Our own crews install over high-temperature underlayment with floating clips and the manufacturer details, pull permits where a city requires them, and finish each day with cleanup and a magnetic sweep for fasteners.
- Warranty. You receive our transferable lifetime workmanship warranty in writing, the manufacturer finish warranty, and the product labels and installation certificate your insurer may ask for.
What will we not do?
Four things, and we would rather lose a job than do any of them.
- Chase storms. We do not knock on doors after a hailstorm, and we do not use the tactics the Texas Attorney General warns about: sign-today pressure, cash up front or stories about leftover materials.
- Waive, rebate or absorb your deductible. Texas HB 2102 made that a Class B misdemeanor in 2019, and insurers can ask for proof that you paid it. Any contractor who offers to is breaking the law.
- Pressure you. Estimates are free and written. Take them to other bidders. Every agreement signed in your home carries the three-day cancellation notice Texas law requires.
- Claim credentials we do not hold. We list a certification only when a manufacturer has issued it to us, and we describe the products we carry as systems we install, not endorsements.
What are our credentials?
Texas issues no state roofing license, so the useful checks are insurance, registration and a physical address. Our credentials: Fully Insured. We carry liability coverage and will send certificates of insurance before you sign, register with cities that require contractor registration, such as Dallas and Fort Worth, and pull permits where they are required.
Which manufacturer systems do we install?
Alongside our own AMP profiles and roll-formed standing seam, we install EDCO ArrowLine Shake and Generations HD steel shake; Classic Metal Roofing Systems aluminum products, including Country Manor Shake, Oxford Shingle, Rustic Shingle, Slate Rock Oxford, Grandetile and ClickLock standing seam; and Englert multi-purpose wall panels. Compare them on the metal roofing systems page.
How do we research the content on this site?
Carefully, because people spend real money on what they read about roofs, insurance and building rules.
- Legal, insurance, code, energy and storm facts come from primary sources: the Texas Department of Insurance, Texas statutes, the Texas Attorney General, National Weather Service and NOAA records, and manufacturer technical data. Pages that use them list those sources at the bottom.
- Prices on this site are our published rates, shown with the month they were last updated, or typical Dallas-Fort Worth ranges labeled as such. Your written estimate is based on your building.
- We use research and writing tools, including AI assistance, to draft some pages. Every page is checked against its sources and reviewed by the owner before it is published, and the review date changes when the page does.
- When a rule, product or price changes, we update the page. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.

Questions people ask about Architectural Metal Panels
Is Architectural Metal Panels licensed in Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so no roofer in Texas holds one. What you can verify is insurance, city registration and a physical local address. Our credentials: Fully Insured. We send certificates of insurance on request, register where cities require it and pull permits where they are required.
Did the company really move from New Jersey to Texas?
Yes, all of it. After more than ten years fabricating and installing metal roofing, composite panels and sheet metal across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, the company relocated to 107 Industrial Dr, Forney, Texas in 2026 with its fabrication equipment and crews. We are a Dallas-Fort Worth company now, and the shop is open to customers by appointment.
Do you use subcontractors?
Our own crews install our roofs, panels and sheet metal, and the person who measured the job stays responsible for it through the final walkthrough. If a project needs a specialist trade, such as an electrician for a solar tie-in, we say so before you sign anything.
Can I buy panels and trim without installation?
Yes. We sell materials only. A complete 24-gauge Kynar standing seam package is $9 per square foot of roof as of October 2026, with delivery by van at $350 or by box truck at $500 per trip. Pipe boots, vented ridge and skylight flashing are priced separately.
Do you install roofing systems you do not fabricate?
Yes. We install EDCO and Classic Metal Roofing Systems shake, shingle and tile products to the details each manufacturer publishes, and we fabricate the matching flashing and trim ourselves. Every system we install, including our own roll-formed standing seam, carries our lifetime workmanship warranty.
